El Rancho Motel

Overall a nice place for lodging in an excellent location on Coronado. No issues checking or checking out. Very quiet on the property and in the rooms. Only concern was the A/c was tucked under the open sink away from the main bed area so it took a little longer to cool down the room.

This was such a nice surprise - a very cute motel located in the most perfect location for food, beach access, entry in and out of Coronado. The room was impeccably clean with really cute decor (loved the wall paper!). It's a very simple set up but with everything I needed. The outdoor patios were lovely and I enjoyed a coffee out there each morning I was very pleasantly surprised - I would definitely stay again!

We had a really nice stay here last weekend! They were very responsive and accommodating! Noisy close to Orange ave but they moved us a few rooms down. Room was clean and nice. Good for the price and they were flexible.

The room was small but clean. The hotel is a remodeled hotel from what feels like the 1950's. El Rancho Motel is a boutique hotel with only 10 rooms. It was perfect for us, we found this place by accident and used the Coronado Farry across the bay to see the USS Midway museum and the San Diego Zoo. We were there for Halloween and went trick-or-treating. Found out Coronado Island is 2nd in best places to go trick-or-treating! We had a blast.

Great location for our family. We walked to everything. Service was great. We had to leave a message a couple times but they always returned calls quickly. 2 wonderful patios that are lovely to relax on. Rooms were clean but a bit outdated and cramped but everything else made up for it. We've stayed several times now and really enjoying it.

Last time my son and I visited San Diego we stayed at the Westin Bay View. This time he wanted to spend more time on the island so we got a room at El Rancho for four nights. To be honest, we actually preferred it. We're not really all that into fancy places where you have to take an elevator up 20-some floors to get to your room. We both really liked the direct access to outside and the convenience of having lots of small, local businesses nearby. If you're into quaint and cute little rooms, this is the place for you. We're also not into eating at restaurants for every meal so having a small fridge and microwave were helpful. Hope this review helps those looking for a quiet and comfortable little place.

Adorable, cute place...a little quirky. Small rooms but were clean and beds were comfortable enough. Just a quaint little motel property on Coronado Island, walking distance to restaurants, some cute shops, and to the San Diego ferry. Safe neighborhood which is good since parking is a little tough if you come back to the hotel late. I would stay here again. I had an unexpected and sudden family emergency which delayed our vacation by a day and the owner was super awesome allowing us to stay an extra day to make up for our missed day (we had to change rooms, but we were happy to be able to complete our vacation the way we had planned it). Housekeeping moved our stuff for us while we were our enjoying the Island.
